After two weeks, Syrians began marching the streets. There were protests everywhere, so we were forced to stay at home.
Mama, I think you should go shopping and get some food. I feel this is leading to a war.
Nonsense sweetie, Syria is always safe, it will be over in 2 minutes!
The next day, it was time for us to go back to Jordan. Little did I know that it would be the last time I ever visit Syria.
Mama, take care of yourself. Try to not leave the house as much. There are a lot of shootings.
In Jordan, I kept on thinking about my grandma everyday. The news wasn't helping me stay calm. I used to pray for her to leave.
Is grandma okay? Is she unharmed? How long will it take for her to listen to my mom's advice and leave Syria?
