The Friendship 9 went to an all white restaurant to protest in 1961
They fought to end segregation by having a peaceful protest. They sat at an all white counter knowing that they would go to jail.
The Friendship 9 went to jail for the crime they committed. 54 years later a judge had their records erased, which was their way of admitting a mistake. Unfortunately, one of the Friendship 9 died before hearing this.
