Hop-Frog got angry and plotted revenge on the king and his ministers. He told the king that him and his misters should join him in a jest.
The jest was called the Eight Chained Ourang-Outangs. The king and his ministers were covered in tar and flax to suggest the fur of an orangutan. Then the men were chained together.
"It is the King who does not hesitate to strike a defenseless girl."
As for myself, I am simply Hop-Frog, the jester -- and this is my last jest."
Hop-Frog then lead the men into the main chamber. Screams from the guest echoed out. The monkey looking men were being chained to the ceiling and hoisted up.
Hop-Frog started to climb the chain and pretended to examine the men with a torch. The people didn't know that the beastly men were the king and his ministers.
Hop-Frog then got everyone's attention and announced that this jest was to get back at the king for striking Trippetta.
Hop- Frog then set the king and his seven ministers alight with his flaming torch. Thanks to the tar and flax, they burned quickly. Hop- Frog then announced that this was his last jest and escaped through the sky-light.
