Storyboard Text

  • So, your stepfather has killed a butler, your sister, Julia, is dead, and you are scared out of your mind, correct?
  • Yes, that is right. Please help me Sherlock! I know that you can!
  • Helen, do you think, perhaps these gypsies are involved?
  • They could be, sir. They are around here often.
  • I don't see why I shouldn't stay away!
  • You shall stay away from my property!
  • A young lady named Helen Stoner needs Sherlock's help. Her sister, Julia was killed, but no one knows why. Sherlock is using deductive reasoning to try to think of a way to help Helen. Sherlock is very smart and observant. He'll figure things out for Helen.
  • Now, we must wait for something to come up. Stay quiet, Watson.
  • ZZZ...ZZZ...ZZZ... Yes Sherlock.
  • Sherlock thought that possibly that the gypsies in the town were part of the death of Julia. This eventually became the Red Herring in this story. The gypsies were part of something, though. The story, of course!
  • DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!?!
  • Helen's stepfather, Dr. Roylott, was sensitive to Sherlock coming to investigate for Helen's case. This was foreshadowing. Dr. Roylott was warning Sherlock of something...
  • Dr. Roylott is dead! He was killed by a swamp adder snake!
  • Sherlock and Watson waited for something to happen. Later...
  • Later that night, at around two o'clock, there was a whistling noise. Watson turned and saw Sherlock hitting something with his cane. This was another foreshadowing. Dr. Roylott warned them!
  • Sherlock and Watson went to Dr. Roylott's room and what they found, shocked them! There was a speckled band on Dr. Roylott! It was a snake called the swamp adder!
