Onward My Men!!!!!!!
The Tea Act and The Stamp Act
UGGGGGHHHHH!!! I hate the Stamp Act! I despise the Tea Act!
The Boston Tea Party
The French and Indian war was a conflict over land. The French had recruited many Indian tribes to fight on their side. The British only recruited a few. The British were losing at first, but...... They were, however, in a huge debt.
In order to get the money to pay off the debt, the British began taxing the colonists. The stamp act was a tax on documents like wills, deeds, newspapers, pamphlets and even playing cards and dice. The Tea Act was a tax on tea.
The colonists did not like this "Taxation without representation" and in an act of defiance, they dressed up as Indians and emptied a large amount of tea into the harbor.
