The Locked Black Man
By hoshij, Updated
Based on the theme of the poem, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, a black man is always singing and enjoying his life possibly even more than that of the white man.
* I am free! And I will believe that too! No matter the things I am forced to work, I am free!*
The weather is very nice here but I do suppose going to a better land, a land that proposes freedom.
I am not, but I believe I am free sometimes when I sing my songs.
Did you know not everybody gets to be free. Sometimes they are locked up in a cage.
As long as I sing, I could stay all you want me to.
You are going to be locked up even longer if you don’t get your act up.
You sing as if you really are free from his master.
That’s because I am free. As long as I have my voice, I am free.
The free is powerful enough to stay free but the locked are strong enough to be free.
