Storyboard Text

  • Romeo and Juliet: Kissing Scene Romeo sees Juliet from across the room at the Capulet's party, and instantly falls in love.
  • I.v.46-47 What lady's that, which doth enrich the hand of yonder knight?
  • I.v.48 I know not, sir.
  • I.v.104-105 My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss
  •  Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,  and palm to palm in holy palmers' kiss.
  • Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?
  • Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.
  • O, then, dear saint, let do what lips do! They pray; grant thou, let faith turn to despair.
  • Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake.
  • Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take. Thus by my lips, by yours, my sin is purged.
