Who came up with this bill? I disagree with whoever came up with these ideas! It's a shame that Congress is still far from the end of its session; I would've pocket vetoed this if I had the chance.
The final version of the bill is passed on to the president. If the president likes the bill, he may sign it. If he doesn't, he may veto it.
It looks like the president has vetoed our bill! I don't think we will be able to get 2/3 of Congress to override the veto; the bill passed only by a slim margin.
If the president signs the bill, it becomes a law. If he or she vetoes the bill, the bill returns to Congress to be revoted for. Congress may not even revote depending on the amount of support shown in the initial vote.
Our bill meets its doom on this fateful day. It has made a long and arduous journey through the process of becoming a law, and has made it further than many other bills have.
