  • Martin Luther was born in Eielsberg, Germany 1438
  • In 1505, Martin Luther was caught in a storm and was nearly struck. Luther took this as a sign from God and became a Monk in 1510
  • A Monk named Martin Luther is protesting against the Catholic Church!
  • On October 31st 1517, Martin Luther nailed 95 theses to the Wittenburg Church about the wrong doing of selling indulgences to buy-off sins
  • In 1518, Martin Luther was called to the 'Diet of Worms' (Diet meaning gathering and Worms is a place in Germany) Luther stayed by his belief and because of this he was excommunated (banished from the Catholic Church) in 1521
  • Martin Luther's ideas began to spread across Germany and Europe which lead to the Catholic Church becoming weak
  • Martin Luther eventually overthrew the Catholic Church and made some changes such as focussing on
