Storyboard Text

  • John, Jesus' cousin, preached and baptised many people. One day, Jesus went to the Jordan River to be baptised. John didn't know what to say.
  • John questioned his authority to baptise Jesus. Jesus responded to John by saying that He must be baptised in order to set an example for others.
  • “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17
  • So John took Jesus into the Jordan River and baptised Him.
  • When Jesus was baptised, the sky opened up and the Holy Spirit came down in the form of a beautiful white dove.
  • Then a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17
  • The baptism gave Jesus strength which enabled him to start his mission.
