Storyboard Text

  • No, we cannot bring any phasers. It is of the utmost importance that we display none of our technology, we cannot break the Prime Directive
  • But Maam...
  • No! The Prime Directive exists to protect the people that we visit...
  • But it also exists to protect us. Without it, we would be just as likely to destroy culture as we would life. We would become a people who committed cultural genocide on a weekly basis. We would destroy art, architecture, music and every important aspect of their lives simply to satisfy our belief in the superiority of our own culture
  • Of course.
  • And then we would have to live with the guilt. Guilt that would be felt through generations of our children and our childrens children, at the profound amount of knowledge and learning and sheer cultural importance that was lost to our haste and lack of awareness. I wouldn't even ask you to do it in a time of war, it just isn't right
  • Of course, captain
  • Well, pretty sure. We think it's all natrually formed Naquada but we need to check. On the off chance something goes wrong, just gather all your people next to the stargate. It takes like, 2 seconds to travel between planets, so we can probably relocate your entire people by tomorrow morning. It isn't really that big of a deal if your planet it destroyed. Carter once blew up a Sun and it wasn't even a season finale.
  • Look, we'll provide you with enough C4 and P90's... no...no... C4, it's a kind of explosive. It makes things go boom. Yeah, we'll provide you with enough C4 and P90's to hold off these monsters while we do our experiments on your planet's surface.
  • I just wish people would forget about that...
  • And you're sure nothing can go wrong with the experiment?
