Exposition: Manor farm, in roughly the year 1900, during summer. Old Major, a pig, has a dream on animals being free, and how animals could do better without man. Old major teaches the other farm animals The Beasts of England.
Conflict: Snowball and Napoleon each want to lead the animals in his own way. They can't agree on anything, but both make their points while the other animals must choose between them.
Rising Action: The animals of Animal Farm (before called Manor Farm) rebel, the pigs take lead of the animals and try to lead the farm in a fair way.
Climax: Snowball is chased off the farm by Napoleon's Dogs that he has kept in hiding until now. Snowball is now referred to by the animals as a force bent on destroying animalism.
Falling action: Squealer leads the animals to trust Napoleon by subtly twisting the animals view of animalism, and continues eliminating the pigs enemies.
Resolution: The pigs have a dictatorship set up over the animals of animal farm, and the animals see no difference from when the humans owned them.
