- Joseph's brothers sold him to Ishmaelites who were on their way to Egypt
- "Lie with me"
- How then I could do this wickedness, and sin against God?"
- Joseph and the Ishamelites were on their way to Egypt
- When they arrived in Egypt, Joseph was sold to Potiphar who was an officer of Pharaoh
- There was a vine before me, and on the vine there were 3 branches. Its blossoms came out and the clusters ripened into grapes. Pharaoh's cup was in my hand; I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh's hand
- The 3 branches are 3 days; within 3 days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your office
- Potiphar saw that the lord was with Joseph and made him in charge of all he had. Potiphar's wife thought Joseph was handsome and good looking , and tried to seduce him but Joseph refused
- Potiphar's wife told him that Joseph tried to seduce her even though this was not true. Potiphar was enraged and put him in jail
- A cupbearer was put into jail after upsetting the Pharaoh and Joseph interpreted a dream he had
