  • Hi Class, Today we will be going back to the time of Ancient Athens to learn more about them!
  • YAY!
  • There are 4 pillars in the pillars of democracy. Each of them represent something. One of them represents: Equity, Representation, Freedom and Justice.

  • Freedom: We are all free to do what we want to do. We have the freedom of our religion, culture, gender, etc. We have the freedom to go anywhere we want.
  • Fairness: We are all treated fairly and equally.
  • Equity: We're all treated fairly no matter what race, culture, skin colour, gender, etc. you are.
  • What is democracy? Democracy is part of the government where people vote, share their opinions, etc. There are two types of democracy. One is Direct Democracy and the other is Representative Democracy.
  • Representative Democracy: Each group of people have a representative for their group. When the government makes a vote, each of the representatives go to the hall, and they say what their group thinks.
