The people who lived in Maple Street always Judged a book by its cover so assume things. They thought Charlie was the monster because he shot him when he was just trying to save his street. Also They thought Don was the monster because his car just turn on out of nowhere so now they thing he is the monster. Another way they assume things is how Tommy had a thought that no one should leave and a lot of other things. He said it talked about it in his book and they told him to stop talking and all of that when what he said was true. This is three reasons why the people of Maple street judges a lot and assumes a lot.
