The Trojan Horse
The story of Troy gives us insight into places, values, culture and life in Ancient Greece. It shows their values as a nation; them being brave, determined, strong and consequentally victorious. Also that love and getting married was a big deal as they supposedly went to war over a woman's love.So determined that "the siege went on for ten years". So strong that their military was so strong that they lasted the siege and won the battle in the end. It shows us about their culture as it proves they had engineering knowledge and cunning, clever mindset to build the horse and infiltrate the city's walls. It also proves that the Ancient Greeks appreciated literature in focus poetry as Homer would have wrote a story that his audience would love and that would become popular. The Greeks were therefore cultured enough to value poetry.
