Describing two of newtons laws.
If we fall at the same time, we won't fall at the same rate because of the air resistance being unequal with the gravity. One of us would hit the ground first, more likely me because I am larger.
So therefore in order for us to fall at the same rate from which gravity makes us fall, the air resistance between the two people must be the same.

For every action or reaction there is an opposite reaction.
If the dog jumps off the boat to land on the dock, it'll make the boat want to move the other way
So when ever you exert force, there is an opposite, equal amount of force. "For every action there is a reaction".
