Storyboard Text

  • The panama canal was a project that many people around the world thought of to connect the two oceans .The French work on the canal from 1881 to 1889 but due to difficulties they had to resign from the project .So they sold the project to the U.S for 40 million even though it was worth more.
  • Now we will switch to the Field Reporter
  • Good Morning the canal project is very big and has many risk we saw that the French couldn't do it but can we ?Many people have their personal opinions about what's the outcome for this.
  • Good Morning and first I wanna talk the diseases that were happening when this project first started we have prevented them but the conditions that people working in is extremely dangerous.
  • Now I am here with a witness and her views on the project that is occurring.
  • Also what do you think about how the workers are do most of the work by hand and barely by machines to assist.
  • It Frustrates me because those workers have families that they have to get back to and that it a lot of work to do for 10 hours a day.
  • I just wanna say thanks for her taking her time to talk about something that is occurring .And she did make some good points .But I'm starting to realize that if this project is successfull we will be able to do short travel and trade for alot of countries.
  • Thanks for the Interview. If this project succeeds it would be one of the most creative things in the world. The fact that we have a lock system to lift and lower the ships to keep them going for trade .And the engineering that was put into this project is going to be outstanding. It would be a big accomplishment for technology and for the engineering and hopefully there would be more projects more like this one in the future.
