  •
  • Here are some key words that we should know before we begin the lesson. Any questions?
  • Yes, is there only one way to invest, or are there multiple ways?
  • There are many ways to invest your money! Including bonds, stocks, and mutual funds. Today, we will be learning about stocks
  • Stocks: A stock is a share in the ownership of a company. If the sales of a company are going up, your interest becomes greater. Yet, if the sales of the company are going down, your interest will decrease as well.
  • Stocks are the riskiest of all investment types. There is no telling whether the company will do good or bad, meaning that you can never know if you will make money one day, or loose it all.
  • Good question! Well, since stocks are so risky, you get even higher return if the company is doing well. The people are definitely considered about the risk of loosing their money sometimes, but the return from the stocks is usually worth it.
  • If stocks are so risky, why do people still buy them?
  • If you want to buy stocks one day, you can either use an online broker, or get help from a stockbroker who is licensed to assist you with finding a good stock for you.
  • Oh! But, how do you purchase a stock?
