'I can't do it' he thought. David was staring at the soccer ball with disappointment. He knew he couldn't make it to the soccer team.
David's mother saw how sad David was. He looked up as she walked to him."What's wrong David?" asked his mother. "I won't make it on the team." said David. "Don't worry David if you try your hardest and believe in your self you can make it." said his mother.
The next day David went to the try-outs. He was confident at first, until he got the ball and ran. He didn't think he was going to make in. David ran as fast as he could. With all his might David kicked the ball. Next thing he knew the ball was in the goal.
The goalie came over to David and stopped when he got to him."Hey good job, you're for sure to make the team." "I don't know I probably won't." "Trust me you'll make it just believe in your self."
When the coach was going to put up the list of the people who are able to join the team, David had confidence in him self. His mom and and the boy were right, David did make it to on the team.
So every day him and James, the boy, practice. They then became best friends. David is also getting better and better every day. He's glad that he had other people and him self to bring up his confidence.
