Some major delegates met in Annapolis, Maryland to discuss some ways to promote trade among their states.
55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention, were a very impressive group. Most were lawyers, but others were planters, merchants, and doctors.
They were discussing different issues that they had and plans that could possibly be a solution.
They discussed things like the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan. They discussed which plan they thought would be a better fit for the country.
In the end after a long discussion, they all decided on the Great Compromise. This helped satisfy the large and small states.
After everything was done, and all the delegates were able to go home.
