  • William Harvey
  • I have dissected an animal and proved that the heart pumps blood
  • Isaac Newton
  • I am the first to discover calculus
  • Francis Bacon
  • I am a statesman that deals with important public issues
  • William Harvey was born in Folkestone, Kent on 1 April 1578 and grew up to be an English physician who described accurately how blood was pumped around the body by the heart. His discovery attracted attention during the time of 1616 in England when he first started dissecting animals. William Harvey impacted the world because without his discovery we wouldn’t know what we have inside us today.
  • Johannes Kepler
  • After 9 years... "I think I know the planets motion!"
  • Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643, in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire, England and eventually developed the three laws of motion which form the basic principles of modern physics. In 1665, Newton began to develop a mathematical theory that later became calculus.Because of Newton’s accomplishments he is still recognised as one of the most influential scientists of all time and without him we wouldnt have school.
  • Evangelista Torricelli
  • "I made the barometer to determine weather"
  • Francis Bacon was born in London on January 22, 1561 and soon became Statesman and philosopher. His father, Sir Nicolas Bacon, was Lord Keeper of the Seal. His mother, Lady Anne Cooke Bacon, was his father's second wife and daughter to Sir Anthony Cooke who was Edward VI's tutor. Francis Bacon’s mother was also the sister-in-law of Lord Burghley. Without Francis Bacon we wouldn't understand astronomy and what it has to do with us today.
  • Galileo Galilei
  • Today's weather will be in the triple digits!
  • Johannes Kepler was born on December 27,1571 and grew up in a small and pour family. But with his bright ideas he earned a scholarship that would help him throughout college. Later he dedicated 9 years of his time on astronomy and found out the first and second law of motion that is known today as Kepler's law of motion. With Kepler's help we now know more about the planets motion then before with the previous information.
  • Evangelista Torricelli was born on 15 October, 1608 in Rome and grew up to became a mathematician and a physicist. Torricelli is also known for creating the barometer which is a tool that is used to determine the weather for a certain time of day. Because of Torricelli's useful accomplishment we have the new's channel which use's a barometer to tell what type of day its going to be depending on weather.
  • Galileo Galilei was born on February 15, 1564 and is considered the first person to make the thermometer and he also made an improved telescope that later helped him observe the moons of Jupiter. He also played a big role during the scientific revolution and without him we wouldn't have thermometers that help us give us a clue to what the temperature the weather is.
