Storyboard Description

HIV viruses can have many effects on the human body and can spread through bodily fluids, but cannot spread through air, water, and casual contact. Anyone of any age can contract HIV. Once inside the body HIv can affect cells that are in the immune system. The overall virus tries to target helper T cells which are part of the immune system and help defend the body against bacterial and fungal infections.

  • Have you ever heard about HIV viruses and the effects that they can have on us? 
  • I've heard about HIV viruses before a while back but I forgot what it exactly is 
  • First of all, HIV spreads through exchanges of bodily fluids 
  • Well, how can HIV get into our bodies and affect us in the first place? 
  • It unfortunately cannot spread through air, water, casual contact. 
  • Once inside the body, HIV infects cells that are part of the immune system. 
  • Oh ok I see, but what happens once it is inside of the human body? 
  • It particularly targets helper T cell, which help defend the body against bacterial infections.
