I finally got to visit my cousins and Uncle in the South. I'm so excited! My mom got totally freaked out though, and she thought that I would get in trouble.
Things are different in the South Emmett. You cannot touch, speak to, or even look at white people. Promise me you will be safe with Uncle Mos.
I promise, Mom.
It's true, the south is different. I don't like it, but I can survive it until I head back to Chicago. Today I went to a store where a woman was working the counter. I said bye baby to her. Everyone acted a bit surprised. but I didn't make a big deal of it.
What's happening? These men woke me up and forced me into their car. I don't know what I did wrong.
My feet hurt. They're hitting me and leading me into a shack. Why won't someone help me?
I can't feel my legs. The searing pain across my back is too much to handle. My eye is burning and is impossibly painful.
