Long, long time ago there was a star, the star shined so bright and progressively grew. Billions of years later the star exploded and created the elements we have today and planets also.
Then the first discovery of lead was in 7000 BC and mined up in Asia Minor. Then lead was the first metal to be smelted.
Then when it was first discovered it was used to make plumbing pipes, roofing, gutters, and for statues.
Since it was one of the first metals, it was almost used in everything. It was used in statues since it was it was good and strong to keep together.
Another, in the old times it was used to keep things together. It was used as strips to join pieces of colored glass in church windows.
Lastly, it is used today in bullets. It is used in bullets today because of how it makes the shot more precise than any other metals. Since it is plentiful around Earth it is less costly than using any other metals.
