  • However Parris, told rev. Hale when he arrived about the dancing in the woods. They questioned Abigail on who was there but she blamed Tituba, a Black Caribbean slave. She was then whipped until she confessed to seeing the devil.    Shethen was arrested for working with the devil but lived as she confessed to hercrime.
  • Mary Warren, Goody Proctor’s maid, had created a poppet during her time in court. She had left in the Proctor Household and had stuck a needle within its stomach. Abigail had then purposefully stuck a needle in her stomach and claimed that the doll was a voodoo doll and that Mary had set out to get her. A search was therefore commenced at the proctor household in search for this poppet, which the court thought it was goody Proctors.
  • Elizabeth was taken by Cheever after receiving a warrant to search their house. John was furious and annoyed and was not going to allow Elizabeth to die because of his wrong doings. As the carriage departed he knew he had to do whatever he could to get his wife back. This meant he demanded Mary Warren go to court and testify against Abigail, but she sobbed and could not do it.
