European countries wanted establish colonies to make themselves richer
They produced things cheaply and they exported more than they imported.
The Navigation acts were created. These laws required colonists to use only British owned ships for exporting.
European countries wanted to control trade with the mother country.
All goods sold in British colonies by other nations had to be shipped to GBR first.
Smugglers started bringing in goods from other countries without paying anything.
Two Colonists are describing mercantilism and what it's like.
They talk about the Navigation acts and what it required colonists to do.
The colonists describe more about the requirements and downsides to mercantilism.
