Climax The climax in the story is when Rainsford has to make the choice to either run or to stay where he is. It is the climax because it represent a turning point in the story and is the highest point of tension.
Falling Action The Falling Action of the story is when General Zaroff finds Rainsford in his room and is surprised to see him. This is the falling action because the story is beginning to get rapped up.
Resolution The Resolution is when General Zaroff admits that Rainsford won and when Rainsford says that he is "a beast at bay" and kills Zaroff. It is the Resolution because it is the ending to the story and how it gets wrapped up.
