  • The Scout Reports Back
  • I have important news, sir.
  • In 480-479 BC, the Persians marched into Greece by land planning to conquer Greece.
  • Persian Attack the Spartans
  • THIS IS SPARTA!
  • The Persian king Xerxes sent a scout to find the Spartans location.
  • A Greek Traitor
  • I bring to you information of huge importance.
  • The scout reported back that the Spartans were hiding behind a wall by the Sea of Thermopylae with King Leonidas leading them, waiting for the Persians to arrive. So King Xerxes waited a few days until he finally decided to attack.
  • The Greek Defeated
  • FOR SPARTA!
  • FOR PERSIA!
  • The Persians attack the Spartans and the Spartans are winning by causing heavy damage with their long spears. A fun fact is that there were only about 300 Spartans against an army of about 100,000 Persians.
  • A Greek citizen tells the Persian King a way to get behind the Spartans and advance in to Greece.
  • The Spartans and King Leonidas knew they had lost but refused to give up and fought to the death.The battle of Thermopylae lasted three days, but the war between the Persians and Greece was not over.In the end, the Persians won the battle of Thermopylae.
