Jack and the Beanstalk By Steven Kellog
Once upon a time there was a Mom and her son Jack. They were very poor, infact they relied on a cow named Milky-White. Milky-White would make milk each morning for Jack and his mom to sell at the market.
But one day Milky-White didn't make make milk, so they had to sell him.
2 in each hand and 1 in my mouth
I will trade you These magic beans for the cow if you tell me how many make beans make five?
On the way to town a wizard stopped him.
And with that Jack sets off home to show his mother what he traded for the cow.
When Jack got home his mother asked him how much money he got for Milky-White. When Jack told her he got five beans she got furious, sent Jack to bed with no supper, and threw the beans out the window.
During night the beans grew into a beanstalk and grew all the way up to the sky. When Jack woke up he climbed the beanstalk.
When Jack finally got up the beanstalk he saw a huge house. There was a very tall lady standing on the porch and he asked her if he could have breakfast.
