Storyboard on one scientist from the Scientific Revolution.
Hello, my name is Galileo Galilei and I was born in 1564. I was born in the city of Pisa and studied at the University of Pisa. Due to financial reasons, I never graduated.
I had proved Aristotle's theory, that heavy objects fall at a more rapid rate than light objects, was incorrect. I had proved this by performing experiments by dropping objects from the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
After learning about Holland's invention of the telescope, I was soon able to construct a vastly superior telescope myself.
The Catholic Church found me guilty of heresy. One of my punishments was to publicly recant my view that the earth moved around the sun. When I was finished making my retraction, I mumbled, "It still moves."
Medieval scholastics had thought at great length what should happen and why things happen, however, I insisted on performing experiments to see what actually did happen
My greatest contribution was the role I played in finding modern scientific method.
