This storyboard does not have a description.
"Two little groups of people stood at a respectable distance beyond the stools. There Were three men in one group and three men and a woman in the other." (Achebe 87)
"And then the egwugwu appeared. The women and children sent up a great shout and took to their heels [...] It was a terrifying spectacle" (Achebe 89)
"Each of the nine egwugwu represented a village of the clan. Their leader was called Evil Forest." (Achebe 89)
"We have heard both sides of the case [...] Go to your in-laws with a pot of wine and beg your wife to return to you." (Achebe 93)
A trial is taking place in the village. There are two groups of people in conflict and they are surrounded by multiple groups of people including the elders. They await the arrival of the agwegwus who will be sitting in the empty chairs in front of them.
The agwegwus finally emerge from a structure after making ritual chants. After the crowd gets over its fear of the agwegwus, the trial begins. It is a conflict between a man and the family of his wife who he is accused of mistreating.
At this point, I was planning to simply finish the trial as it is described in the story. It is basically finished, but I would have included further quotations by the evil forest and a cited description from Achebe.
