Hello! I am a water droplet and I live in the ocean. Today I will be going on a journey to find my new home. Come with me!
Firstly, because of the sun, I turn into water vapor and go up into the air, through either transpiration or evaporation. In this case, I evaporated, as I came from the ocean and I'm wasn't transpired from a plant.
After reaching the skies I cool down back into a water droplet, which is called condensation. In this stage, I go from a gas back into a liquid. I then connect with other droplets and form a cloud.
After the cloud gets too heavy with droplets, gravity makes the water droplets fall, which is called precipitation. This can come in the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail. The last three happens when the water freezes and it turns into a solid.
The water then makes its way into the ground and goes into the ground which is called infiltration. Some water that is at higher elevations flows down to lower elevations and is called runoff.
Through the water cycle, I have now found my new home. Now, let's recap what we've gone over throughout my journey. The sun's radiation caused me to evaporate into the air, then I condensate due to the coldness, turning into a cloud with other water droplets. Then, when the cloud becomes too heavy, gravity forces it to the ground through precipitation. Then, through runoff and infiltration, I have found this home.
