  • Lexington and Concord
  • It seemed as if men came down from the clouds.
  • Bunker Hill
  • Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!
  • Battle of Yorktown
  • "It is all over"(Lord North, 1781).
  • In April 19, 1775, Major Buttrick commands the Americans to fire and hid behind trees to surprise attack British. The French and Americans won the battle of Lexington and Concord.
  • Valley Forge
  • "The unfortunate soldiers were in want of everything;they had neither coats nor hats, nor shirts, nor shoes, their feet and their legs frozen"
  • On June 17, 1775 Colonel William Prescott yells at his soldiers to not fire until they see the whites of their eyes. British ended up winning this battle.
  • Battle of Saratoga
  • Benedict rode through the valley like a madman.
  • Between September 28, 1781 -October 19, 1781, George Washington and other military leaders command French and Continental Army to attack the British. British surrenders and Americans and French win.
  • Battle of Camden
  • American spirits fell to a new low.
  • On December 19, 1777 George Washington along with other leaders and soldiers settle on Mount Vernon. Thomas Paine writes that the Continental Army was suffering and yet they still pull through.
  • Between September 19- October 7, 1777 British are surrounded during Christmas and surprise attacked by the French and Americans. Americans and French win.
  • On August 16, 1780, Charles, Lord Cornwallis command the British push very aggressively against French and Americans. British win.
