Loneliness- In this scene it shows how loneliness can make a person sad and feel unwanted. For example, Curley's wife was lonely and felt unwanted.
Friendship- This scene shows how vital it is to have a good friendship. Someone there to lift you up in hard times and just talk with you in the good times. George and Lennie are good examples of this, always being there for each other.
Powerlessness- This shows how someone can feel when there powerless. They feel down and depressed and helpless. When Crooks felt powerless because of his skin color is an example of this.
The American Dream- This shows that hard work and determination pay off. Lennie and George always dreamed about the American Dream and living in peace on a farm.
Broken Plans- When your original plans for something falls through. Candy wanted to get a place with George and Lennie but his plan fell through when Lennie messed up badly.
