  • The First Battle of the Bull was significant because it was the first victory for the Confederacy. Led by GeneralIrvin McDowell
  • Battle of the Bull Run 1861
  • The Battle of Antietam was the bloodiest battles of them all with over 23,000 people both Union and confederacy dead. The battle ultimaly was undecided but the Union stopped the Confederates push North.
  • Battle of Antietam 1862
  • The battle of Gettysburg was the turning point in the war for the Union because there win would tip the balance in the war. 
  • Battle of Gettysburg
  • The Battle at Fort Sumter was where the first shots of the civil war were shot and where the civil war officially started. Although no casualties where on either side, 
  • All of these battles are connected because they all overall change the outcome of the entire Civil War.
