  • Gavin-”I have a secret Nelly”. “I am a time traveler” Nelly-”If you are a time traveler Gavin”. “take me to the peasants and the Government officials in ancient egypt”!! Gavin-OK” Nelly-”Then let’s go” Gavin-weeeeeeeeeeee this is fun Nelly-I know
  • Gavin- Did you know that peasants were the lowest and the biggest population on the social pyramid also they were called unskilled laborers. Pg.102, paragraph 2 Nelly- This was important because it allowed the population to grow because there was more people in the peasant group. The peasants allowed people to have food and they also help build the monuments or statues which they sometimes was made for the pharaoh. Gavin- I did not know that
  • Nelly- What about government officials? Gavin- There job was to assist the pharaoh and were the second highest on the social pyramid. Pg.95 paragraphs 10 and 7 Gavin-They would help them by saying it is dinner time or they would help them in war or sometimes they would help the pharaoh with the economy
  • Nelly-did you also know that peasants worked a lot on the fields. Pg.102 Paragraph 6 Gavin- Working on the fields they sang or played the music to go along with the songs. This affected the pyramid by peasants provided food and sometimes they even got to scavenge for food or grains for themselves.
  • Gavin-Did you also know that Government officials lived a luxury life being the second highest after the pharaoh. Nelly- They had a good house and a lot of money to buy food and sometimes they got to be close to the pharaoh
  • Gavin-This is the same as our school pyramid they both have social classes and both have the last that has the most people. Nelly- that was cool.
