Dear Tim and Moby, How do cars contribute to climate change? From Jess,
Well, people do things like drive cars and that involves burning fossil fuels.
Whenever transportation is used we are burning fossil fuels. We use transportation to drive buses, cars, and more. In order for things to be shipped into stores they need to get there somehow.
Fossil fuels are fuels such as coal or gas that is formed in the past from remains of living organisms.
Cars also emit out a smoke and that contributes to air pollution. Air pollution contributes to global warming a lot because it makes a cloud and that contributes to making it warmer.
The smoke that cars let out is also not good for people to be breathing in, so it isn't only a bad thing for global warming.
