Hamlet play

Storyboard Text

  • A room in the castle.
  • "Forgive me my foul murder?" That cannot be, since I am possess'd of those effects for which I did the murder- My crown, mine own ambition and my queen. May one be pardon'd and retain the offence?
  • The main Idea of Act 3, Scene 3 was that the King starts talking and praying for forgiveness, but doesn't really mean it because he doesn't think his crime is a good enough reason to give up everything he has. And then Hamlet doesn't feel as if he should kill him because he's praying and feels if he kills him his soul would go to heaven and doesn't think that's a good enough revenge.
  • Quote: King- "Forgive me my foul murder?" That cannot be, since I am possess'd of those effects for which I did the murder- My crown, mine own ambition and my queen. May one be pardon'd and retain the offence? Hamlet- "Now might I do it pat, now he is praying. And now I'll do't. And so he goes to heaven; And so am I revenged. That would be scann'd: A villain kills my father, and for that, I, his sole son, do this same villain send to heaven.
