The War of Roses: English Civil War for the Throne
I am from the House of Lancaster, and we deserve the throne! Our symbol is an red rose.
I am from the House of York, and we deserve the throne! Our symbol is an White Rose.
And thus the War of Roses began. A civil war for the crown that lasted 30 years with battles years apart and many people switching sides.
They are winning I need to change sides!
One of the first battles was the Battle of St. Alabans, the Yorks won, resulting in four years of an uneasy truce
We won! The rest of this war should be easy!
Wait are they still fighting?
The War would continue to be long, bloody, and costly, feuds between families caused the war to continue for a span of 30 years.
In the end, after some complicated battles and a mix of Kings, Henry Tudor was proclaimed King, starting the reign of the Tudors, sidenote he married a member of the York family, therefore it united them all.
