The Articles of Confederation was a failed document because it had no taxes. No taxes = no money. No money = no military. And no military = no protection. That's why it was never passed and changed to the U.S. Constitution.
I'm glad those articles are gone! They were useless anyway
The first president was George Washington. The second was John Adams. The third was Thomas Jefferson. The fourth was James Madison. And the fifth was James Monroe.
Madison was the best president because he was the first to ask Congress for a declaration of war!
There are three branches of government. Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. Another name for Legislative is Congress. Before the U.S. Constitution was made, the system was unicameral. Now it's bicameral. The highest court in the state is the Supreme Court.
Don't forget the Bill of Rights. Nobody should forget the Bill of Rights. They're the best set of rules in any document. In my book, at least. Hehe!
