Storyboard Text

  • That was a good concert yesterday! But how did the sound from the singer get to our ears. I don't really understand ):
  • Now that's a good question, Billy. Let me explain.
  • Billy and Josh talk about the awesome concert they were at last night
  • Josh answers the question without hesitation. He is very knowledgeable in the physics of sound.
  • 0 1 1 0 1 0 1 0 1
  • The singer gathers air in his lungs and shoots it out! In the meantime his brain is sending signal to his vocal chords.
  • The singers vocal chords vibrate the air from the lungs of the singer how the brain instructed it to. Your body does this to create a desired sound wave for other people to hear.
  • The Microphone interprets these vibrations from the singer and converts them into 0s and 1s. Then they send these electrical currents to the speakers.
  • The speaker turns these 0s and 1s into vibrations again but projects it resulting in many amplified sound waves
