Goodmorning World, and today you are joined, by Nicolas, I am a former slave from Mali. Today we are in front of the beautiful Saken Compound, in Saudi Arabia.
There are many international workers, that work here in Saken Compound, but what a lot of people don't know is that these workers are actually under slavery.
So I am here interviewing a life guard that works here at Saken, and he works from 8am untill 10pm, while getting low paid, and sitting outside in boiling temperatures.
That is exactly right
As you can see we are currently in my room. Now I work a full day job, with only one day off during the week, and this is where I spend my nights, and my days off, in a portacabin. All the workers from this compound stay in here because we don't get enough money every week to buy our own house.

Goodafternoon, I am one out of the many plumbers at Saken Compound. I work daily with one day off, and it can get very stressful, with working in extreme heats especially during Ramadan in the summer where I can't even eat, or drink in these high temperatures.
Hello I am Ahmed, the receptionist at Saken Compound, and us working here in Saudi Arabia means that we need a visa, an entry to actually get in the country, and an exit to leave, but the problem is I have been here for 2 full years, and have never left the country, and never spoken or seen my family for 2 years
