About the narrator talking to the devil about a story and in the story, there is no quite, nor silence. The devil walks up to a rock that says "desolation" and looks up an sees a man. As he try to get the mans attention, the man completely ignore him and then finally the devil took away his sound, making him def.
This was suppose to be red water with lilies on the side of it that gives off signs. This river is called the Zaire River. (You can also hear loud sounds)
It started to rain, but it wasn't water it was blood. With the moon shining a dark red the devil walked up to a rock and saw the engraving. "Desolation"
He tries to get a reaction from the man but the man is only focusing on the loud sounds.
The devil looks up and sees a man that is covered in Greek clothing .
This is when the devils walks up to the man and tries to get his attention with a windy storm and elephants.
The devil becomes angry with him and takes a way his sound.
The man gets up and runs away.
