Storyboard Text

  • Dad what did you want to be when you were younger?
  • A footballer , thats what nearly every boy wanted to be when they were your age .
  • And all the girls wanted to be actors, singers or models .
  • "So today class we are going to discuss our futures, as you are getting older it is really important that you start to consider what choices you are going to make in order to have a profession in the job you like. So what i would like you to do is to take a sheet of paper and write down your name and what jobs you are interested in doing ."
  • It was Monday morning and Olivia was on her way to school with her dad. This had Olivia thinking, why was it that only boys were labelled as being able to do football, after all thats what she wanted to be .
  • Olivia had always wanted to be a footballer. She went to football training 3 times a week and was really talented. this profession was the only one that had ever interested her.
  • "Lacey Manson- make up artist, a very skilled profession. and Olivia Morris- a football player!, Olivia are you sure, this is a very weird profession for a girl to want to have. hmm i would only consider one of the boys for this job"
  • In class Olivia's teacher was talking to her class about jobs and what professsions to consider undertaking in the future.
  • Everyone took a sheet of paper and starting writing down there "dream jobs", including Olivia who wrote down her dream job, being a footballer.
  • As Olivia looked around she began to notice that her dad was right and that no other girls had the same ambitions as her.
  • Mr Wislon then decided to read out everyone's dream jobs in front of the whole class, and as he approached Olivia's sheet of paper she was getting nervous about what the whole class would think about her ambition.
