  • Hi, My name is Francis. Today, I will teach you the change of phase
  • CHANGE OF PHASE
  • Before moving on, we need to learn the 3 states of matter.
  • The 3 states of matter are Solid, Liqud, and Gas.
  • Solid
  • CHANGE OF PHASE
  • Liquid
  • Gas
  • An object is in solid state if it can be seen and touch. For example, a ball
  • Any substance in gaseous state can't be seen nor touch. Examples are: air insde the balloon, smoke, etc..
  • Liquid are fluids that conforms the shape of the container. For example, water inside the aquarium

  • Sublimation
  • Solid
  • There are 6 distinct changes of phase. Freezing, melting, condensation, vaporization, sublimation, and deposition.
  • Melting
  • Freezing
  • Liquid
  • Vaporization
  • Condensation
  • Gas
  • Deposition
  • For example, smokes, and air inside the balloon
  • Melting Phase is the phase where an object in solid state turns into liquid state. By applying heat to an object, the object melts. Melting Phase is the phase where an object in solid state turns into liquid state. By applying heat to an object, the object melts. Any substance in gaseous state can't be seen or touch.
  • For example, the ice shown will turn into water if heat is applied. The change of its state is called melting phase For example, the ice shown will turn into water if heat is applied. The change of its state is called melting phase
