Storyboard Text

  • Children, let me tell you the story of the war in Israel and why it all started.
  • You see, in WWII Jews like us were treated badly. The holocaust killed roughly 6 million Jews simply because of our beliefs. Due to all the damage caused, physically and emotionally, the UN gave us our own country, Israel. As you know, Israel is our holy land and all Jews originate from Israel so we only deserved it and it is ours by right.
  • However when the Jews arrived, the Palestinians didn't welcome us at all. They didn't consider all the suffering we went through at all. It wasn't our fault that we were Jewish or that Hitler wanted to get rid of us. All we wanted was peace.
  • This is our homeland, not yours!
  • You don't belong here!
  • Go away!
  • In fact, many Arabs rejected the UN's partition plan of 1947 and invaded Israel. The Jews hadn't done anything to them and we had kept to our allocated areas so there was no reason for them to attack. However we had to defend ourselves so war started.
  • Of course, the Palestinians were no match for the Jews and we conquered much of their land. We took over more than 400 Palestinian villages and towns and by 1949 new armistice lines were put in place. That taught them a lesson! However the Palestinians continue to fight. Terrorists attack innocent people and destroy buildings. But when they fight, we always fight back stronger! Oneday they will accept that they have lost and there will be peace once again in Israel.
  • Now you know about the war in Israel and you are fully educated about what happened and why it started. Oh my, it is getting late. Time to go to bed!
  • Goodnight grandpa!
  • Goodnight!
