  • The man sits in his room thinking about the old man's "Evil Eye" and how he is going to get rid of him/it.
  • Climax
  • This is the "Evil Eye". The old mans eye. He loves the old man but is very vexed by his eye.
  • Falling Action
  • For eight nights straight he would sneak into the old man's room and watch him while he slept. He would think about how to get rid of it.
  • Resolution
  • He starts to hear the old man's heart racing. He is afraid the neighbors are going to hear. He knows the old man knows he is there. He must take action. He runs toward the old man and suffocates him until he hears his heart slowly stop beating.
  • He is very proud that it is done and over with and is very cautious about how he takes care of the body. Next he hears a knock on the door. It is 3 police officers asking about a scream that was reported.
  • He invites them in because he says " I have nothing to fear". He starts to be haunted by the sound of the old man's heart. He is afraid that they can hear it. he is so freaked out that he finally confesses to what he had done.
