Storyboard Text

  • My name is Jerry Chen. I am the co-founder and designer of a robotics company in Tokyo.
  • The people know our everyday products but we have our secret programs as well.
  • The research and discoveries the group has done can blow away the rest of the world but we wanted to be the first, as we know our rival company in Tokyo has been investing time in robotic weapons.
  • Groups from company has spent the last 5 years working on a special project: A robot that had a mind of its own.
  • Patient Jerry Chen. Lethal accident. Paralysis from the neck down.
  • Unfortunately, a crucial step of the birth of the majestic machine was postponed when I got into a car accident.
  • A few weeks later, I made a life changing choice.
  • To complete the decade long project my group has been working on, I suggested and volunteered to upload my consciousness onto the robot.
  • Are you 100% sure you want to do this?
  • Yes.
  • The group of scientists and technologists attached a set of wires to the robot and another to me. As the uploading began, a group of armed men in suits came bursting inside the lab and rounded up the scientists. Our rivals have found our about our research; There is a mole amongst us.
  • They threatened the lives of my fellow colleagues if they did not give the men in suits the info they wanted about the robot. They refused and many lost their lives. Meanwhile, I was blacking out in the backroom, covered in wires. I can almost start using my new body.
  • Following the completion of transferring to my new body. I took on the armed men. Movement in my new body felt odd but the titanium alloy body of the robot kept me alive. It was a tough victory, That day I became official enemies with one of the largest companies in the world, who hired the men to attack us. That was the day I decided to become a superhero: The Automaton.
  • George Greene, You and your company shall pay for what you have done.
