  • Natural Selection of Fennec Foxes By Jud Cummings White Ones Have Long Ears, Could Not change ear lengths
  • There are two variations here, Fennec Foxes with long ears and ones with short ears
  • Body Was Too Hot Because Heat Left too Slowly
  • The Sahara is very hot environment and if an animal has too high body heat, it will die. The Fennec fox can use its abnormally large ears to cool off the body heat, but if one has too short of ears, its not going to work for them.
  • Ears are long enough to lose enough body heat to survive
  • When two long eared Fennec Foxes pass down the genes...
  • Their offspring have the same ability to cool off body heat, allowing them to survive the cruel Sahara thus making a superior gene in natural selection. The short eared foxes become very rare in the Sahara while longer eared ones are more common.
